I have my music on my mac but I would like to get it on my iphone. I tried a method that a friend told me to do but it didn't work for me even though it works for them...
This had something to do with selecting some songs, copy them, then paste them to my phone...

I only want certaint songs on my phone, not all of it.

Thanks.
Please explain details because I don't know a lot about this, thanks again...

Your mac has iTunes, or can.
You can move just the songs you want to iTunes, and your phone will cync.
Check out here's some iTunes help.
I don't talk about Mac's, but iTunes is an Apple product, so it works.

Yes, I understand. I don't know how Mac's works exactly, but in iTunes on a PC you can tab to music. In the music you can check the box that says add music manually.
On the songs you want to cync you check or uncheck them. If you don't want them to go, you uncheck them, so when you cync they won't.
iTunes had a tutorial, so read the section related to your Mac. It works.

Hi,
In iTunes, once you have connected your phone, find the popup button that says the name of your phone.
Hit VO space or enter to activate it .
Now, find the scroll area and interact with it.
In here you will find all kinds of checkboxes . You want to make sure the following ones are checked.
"Manually manage music and videos " and "Only add selected songs"
Now Hit Apply changes and then hit done.
From here, you should be able to do what your friend said will work.
Make sure though that you are copying from your iTunes library itself and not the music folder in finder.
For this process you may find it easier to "Show Sidebar" Command Option S toggles this option.
I hope that this makes some sense.
I have not yet had coffee.
:-)

Oh! Also I forgot, Checking the wireless sinking option will work if you have your phone plugged in and it and your computer are both on the same Wifi network.
Just open up iTunes on your mac and let it do its thing.
I have iTunes match, so I have not manually organized the music on my iPad or iPod in a while, but if memory serves me right, adding music works but is much slower when done via wifi sinking.

iTunes Match is nice even fore PC users. Well worth the price if you have music from many sources.
Wonderful post, even without coffee. Smile.

also if you want, just make a play list and sink it over to your Iphone, it works well on the mac. Not sure how its done on windows Itunes I refuse to use it. I will stick with my mac Itunes if I ever get another Iphone.

Making a playlist and sending that list to your iPhone is a peace of cake on the PC.
Create it. Give it a file name.
Go to iTunes, and select the add file to library. Paste the file name in that box, hit enter.
